Cyberpunk 2077 Fluid Class System Will Make Your Character More Versatile

The Cyberpunk 2077 fluid class system will allow you to make your character more versatile instead of keeping to a single class in the game.

We still have a little bit under a year before Cyberpunk 2077 releases, but there’s still going to be a lot of information we’ll be getting until then. One of the most important things is the Cyberpunk 2077 Fluid Class System, which will be replacing the large number of classes from the original game.

Cyberpunk 2077 got its start as the tabletop RPG game Cyberpunk 2020, which takes place in the same universe as 2077 but 57 years earlier. That game had a large number of different classes for players to make use of.

In Cyberpunk 2020, these classes included Cop, Corporate, Fixer, Media, Netrunner, Nomad, Rockerboy, Solo, Techie, and Med-Tech, each of which had different abilities and ways of doing things. However, the Cyberpunk 2077 classes will be limited down to three: Netrunner, Techie, and Solo.

While you won’t be able to play as the many other classes in the original tabletop game, you’ll still be encountering them in the wider world. CD Projekt RED specifically cited the Rockerboy and Corporate for two classes of people that you’d meet.

However, the Class System doesn’t mean that you’ll be limited to a certain class once you start the game. While you’ll start off as a certain class depending on the various choices that you make in the game’s beginning, you have the option to not be stuck there forever.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Fluid Class System means that you’ll be able to mix and match abilities from the other two classes in the game along with your starting class, which will help you customize to make a class all your own.

This likely makes it so that even though we won’t have the same number of classes that were in the original Cyberpunk game, that we’ll still be able to make a highly inventive class with its own quirks that those same classes could have, even if they aren’t playable.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming out on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on April 16 of next year.
