Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in development from a very long time. Since its reveal at E3 2013, we have been craving for more news about it. Finally, we will be getting our hands on the game when it releases this month. Recent trailers for Kingdom Hearts 3 gave us a close look at the different Disney worlds such as Frozen, Monsters Inc, Big Hero 6 and many more. But looks like Square Enix doesn’t have any more surprises for us as the Co-director has confirmed.
Kingdom Hearts 3 consists of different Disney worlds and each one of them is amazing and makes us want to play the game more each time we see them. Well due to all this wait, many thought that Square Enix might have something hidden for the launch of Kingdom Hearts 3 or a surprise Disney world but that’s not going to happen according to Co-director, Tai Yasue.
Co-director Tai Yasue confirmed this while talking to Newsweek. He also mentioned that these new Disney properties gave the team “a chance to come up with a lot of new and fresh ideas”. According to Tai Yasue:
There are a lot of good, logical reasons for picking new Disney properties, like appealing to a wider audience; but honestly, the main reason we picked new worlds such as Frozen and Tangled was because they excited us. In terms of gameplay, there’s a lot of unique and crazy things you can do with a snowman that keeps on talking after having his head removed from his body, or a princess with super long golden hair. We’re not planning on revealing any surprise Disney worlds, but these new properties gave us a chance to come up with a lot of new and fresh ideas, that there will certain be a lot of surprises with the gameplay.
Now that’s sad news for the fans of Disney movies as there won’t be any new worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3. Though do note that Tai Yasue says that they plan on not revealing any new “Disney worlds” so we might get to see some surprising new non-Disney worlds in Kingdom Hearts 3 at some point.
