Finally, we have some Mortal Kombat 11 news to talk about. It’s been years since we got to play Mortal Kombat X and since then the developers have been quiet about their future projects or Mortal Kombat 11.
This news is coming from a supposed Mortal Kombat 11 QA tester on 4Chan. He has leaked a lot of details about the game. According to him, Mortal Kombat 11 will be announced at The Game Awards 2018. The Game Awards 2018 is a few days away so every fan of the series should definitely watch it.
Mortal Kombat 11 leak tells us that the game has been in development for 4 years. 4 years will of MK11 development makes it the longest game to be in development from the series. The development of MK11 was already started before Mortal Kombat X was released.
Mortal Kombat 11 Leak reveals that the game is going to consist of an adventure mode. You will be able to play this adventure mode with a friend and it’s a separate mode from the Story mode. This adventure mode is going to be like the PS2 title called Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. This mode will be full of various customizations and will have a drop in and out feature. You can also play this mode offline in Local co-op without an internet connection.
As for the Story mode in MK11, it’s going to focus on the main three characters. The most important characters in the story are going to be Raiden, Shang Tsung, Reiko, and Kotal Kahn. According to the Mortal Kombat 11 Leak, Raiden will be punishing everyone who dares to attack the Earthrealm so come prepared for an intense storyline.
Emperor Liu Kang and empress are preparing an army and looking for an ancient relic. Shang Tsung and Reiko are now working with Kotal Kahn to protect and rule over the outworld.
The QA tester also says that the game is being made by using the Unreal Engine 4 instead of UE3. UE3 is the engine used for previous games in the series. The game looks better in terms of animations, graphics and will be available on current-gen consoles.
He included that Fujin is going to be a playable character in the game. The likes of Johnny Cage, Goro, Sonya, Kano, Baraka, Mileena, and Ferratorr are not playable though we don’t know why.
Though there wasn’t any mention of Mortal Kombat 11 release date. Do take this all information with a grain of salt as we are sure about how credible is the source yet.
We all can do nothing but to hope that it gets announced at The Game Awards 2018. As it’s now confirmed, The Game Awards 2018 will come with 10 big new games announcements, so we can expect one of them to be MK11.
If this turns out to be true, we can expect the release date of Mortal Kombat 11 to be sometime in 2019.
