Capcom Used More Resources to Develop Resident Evil 2 Remake Than Resident Evil 6

Capcom recently revealed some interesting news about Resident Evil 2 Remake by saying that more than 800 Devs worked on the game making it bigger than RE6.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is one of the most anticipated games of all time and what’s better than to know that over 800 devs worked together to make this masterpiece. Yes, you read that right, Resident Evil 2 Remake had over 800 devs at one point which is more than any previous Resident Evil game.

As we are getting closer to the release date of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom is dropping some interesting news about it including what happens behind the scenes. The recent broadcast of Japanese Television NHK featured Capcom headquarters by also revealing some interesting news about Resident Evil 2 Remake.

A hardcore fan of Resident Evil 2 Remake recently revealed the most interesting thing which was revealed through this live stream. According to him, Capcom mentioned in the broadcast that Resident Evil 2 Remake had more than 800 developers working on it. This total number of devs included programmers, photogrammetry models, mo-cap and more.

Now interestingly this huge number of devs is more than any of the previous Resident Evil games including Resident Evil 6 which had roughly 600 devs on board.

Now this increase in the development team at Capcom is big news for Resident Evil 2 Remake. It’s because Resident Evil 6 was massive with a great storyline, different story campaigns and it took more than 30 hours to finish it completely.

I still remember playing it and oh boy it was amazing, I still remember making my way through the enemies till the end and it kept me addicted to it.

Now having more devs than RE6 in Resident Evil 2 Remake means more detailed and high-quality content. The trailer shown at E3 2018 was simply breathtaking and the gameplay doesn’t look less either.

If you want to see how good the game looks, you should check out the latest Resident Evil 2 Remake gameplay trailer above by Capcom. It was officially uploaded on PlayStation Youtube channel and takes us deep into the storyline as Claire Redfield fights through the infected.

One of the best things about it is the insane movie like graphics. Trust me the game looks amazing and amazing dynamic lighting makes everything come to life. The gameplay trailer shows Claire helping a young girl before facing an older man. We don’t want to spoil further so take a look at it yourself.

Other than that, the trailer also shows us one of the enemies in the game called Licker. Yep, it’s one of the most terrifying villains in the Resident Evil series. The trailer also shows how they move so fast while doing fatal damage to your character.

Mechanics are also revealed which tell us how shooting zombies will affect them. It depends on where you hit the zombie at so it’s completely on you if you want a headless zombie chasing you or maybe one without any legs.

These amazing graphics are all result of the Capcom’s RE Engine in Resident Evil 2 Remake. This is the same engine which was used in Resident Evil 7 which looked drop dead gorgeous.

RE Engine is a great engine for trial and error, so our experience with previous titles using the same engine has greatly enhanced the new Resident Evil 2.

Resident Evil 2 Remake will release on January 25, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Though that’s not it as Capcom intends to release more remakes after this one.
