Dreams Getting a Surpise Release at The Video Game Awards

Dreams PS4 is getting a surpise release next month at The Video Game Awards 2018. The developers are ready to roll out the final product.

The Video Game Awards 2018 is reportedly bringing us many exciting announcements. If an email sent by Sony Brazil is any indication, major titles like Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima are getting release dates at The Video Game Awards. Brand new trailers will be shared alongside final release dates.

But the most surprising announcements is going to be about Dreams. The long in development titles is getting a surprise release during The Video Game Awards. Dreams have been in development for a while now and due to its ambitious nature, we didn’t know when exactly Media Molecule will be done with it.

However, it seems Dreams is releasing this December at The Video Game Awards. PS4 and PS4 Pro players will be able to enjoy the game once Sony rolls it out.

Dreams comes from the creators of Little Big Planet. The project is very different from what the studio had developed previously. According to creative director Mark Healey, the transition from Little Big Planet to Dreams felt natural.

Death Stranding, on the other hand, was already confirmed to appear at the event. But the nature of its presentation remains a mystery. Giving the release date for Death Stranding is the least Kojima can do after the cryptic marketing campaign.

Not even the game’s cast had any idea when it is releasing. Even though Sony believes it is the fastest developed AAA game, Death Stranding isn’t expected anytime soon. The release date for Deat Stranding should be set somewhere in 2020.

The most interesting bit here is the fact that Ghost of Tsushima is reportedly getting a 2019 release date. A new gameplay trailer will debut alongside the final release date next month.

The Game Awards 2018 is set for December 6. Produced by Geoff Keighley for the 5th year in a row, The Game Awards 2018 will be a celebration of games and eSports.
