Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One and PS4 consists of a very annoying camp bug which makes your gang members disappear for some time. This bug results in your gang members such as Sadie, Jack, John, and Abigail being out of your sights until their mission arrives.
This Red Dead Redemption 2 camp bug doesn’t effect missions or makes anything disappear so don’t worry. This bug was reported to Rockstar and they responded by saying that they’re working on a fix soon.
Until update arrives, we have another way to save you from this happening. Keep in mind that these bugs will mostly occur during Polite Society and Valentine Style missions. Once you start doing them, make sure to abandon the mission if you die. If you select retry from the last checkpoint, it will result in that camp bug. Just restart the whole mission or just load the last save you made to keep all the gang members in camp.
If you accidentally select Retry Checkpoint option, you will not be able to see Sadie, Jack, John, and Abigail again until chapter 4.
This is the only way to avoid this annoying camp bug until Rockstar releases a patch. Rockstar has officially responded to this bug through their support page. They are working on a fix and explained how to avoid it as well.
While players will miss some of the in-game vignettes and conversations, mission progression is not impacted. All Companions will return to the Camp at the beginning of Chapter 4.
Other than this bug, RDR 2 is a huge hit and it’s selling like hot cakes since launch. There’s a lot to do in the game and its attention to detail is being praised by everyone. Though nobody saw it coming, it’s now being criticized a lot lately due to people killing and executing a Suffragette.
Players are targeting female characters in the game a lot. Youtube is flooded with videos of RDR 2 players killing female characters of the game in a very brutal way. One player even fed this Suffragette to an alligator.
There’s also a scene in the game which shows Arthur Morgan being sexually assaulted. There’s still a lot to be seen in that Wild West so keep playing. The success of RDR 2 also assures us that Red Dead Redemption 3 will surely happen in the future.
