Forza Horizon 4 Sales Have Made History, The Best In The Franchise

The launch of Forza Horizon 4 has managed to make history already by generating sales like never before in the series as reported by The NPD Group.

Microsoft Studios have already managed to make history with Forza Horizon 4 launch. The racing video game series has never seen such a high number of sales before. An analyst from The NPD Group has revealed that Forza Horizon 4 sales have turned out to a record setter.

In a span of 13 years the franchise has got the best launch out of Forza Horizon 4. The NPD Group covered the sales of games from September 2 till October 6. Although, Forza Horizon release date was October 2nd still the results are impressive.

Mat Piscatella laid out the highlights for September from the market research company. This analysis places Forza Horizon 4 at 7th spot of all the best-selling games for the month. Mat told that the racing video game got the highest launch month sales in the whole franchise yet.

Apart from being the best Forza Horizon game in history, it also topped a feat in the racing games category. It has been able to mark the biggest launch of a racing video game on Xbox consoles. So, whether it is Forza Horizon 4 graphics or gameplay users are loving it, nonetheless.

Moreover, the game is also part of this month’s Xbox Game Pass subscription. Users could have gained access to download Forza Horizon 4 by a mere subscription. Still, the rate of Forza Horizon 4 purchases didn’t drop.

This game is the only exclusive one Microsoft Studios now have for the remaining part of the year. So, generating as much sales from Forza Horizon 4 can be crucial. It could be able to generate revenue for the publishers even in the holidays at the end of the year.

Yet, PlayStation is not affected much by this due to having launched Spiderman PS4. Sony’s exclusive title, Spiderman PS4 has cashed in far greater sales than Forza Horizon 4. Still, Forza Horizon 4 also started off well real quick.

This highlights the need for Microsoft to focus on first-party studios now more than ever. They recently acquired studios like Ninja Theory and Undead Labs. Morevoer, they even got hold of the Forza Horizon 4 developers, Playground Games.
