Rumor: PS5 Release Date Closing In As Sony Gears Up for Announcement

PS5 release date will be share at E3 2019 with an announcement in early 2019. Full reveal will be held at the LA Convenstion Center.

PS5 release date and announcement is coming soon, according to a new rumor originating from 4chan. Sony is gearing up to announce PS5 in early 2019 while a full reveal would take place at E3 2019.  The event will be held from June 11 to June 13 in LA Convention Center.

It is the final event for the current venue so expect E3 2020 to move to a different site. Last year, ESA CEO Michael Gallagher said the organization would consider other options if LACC doesn’t modernize and upgrade the facility.

The CEO asked LACC to increase show floor space and connect the halls better. The main south and west halls are separated. No changes have been made by the LACC so far.

Sony is one of the major companies to participate in the event. Sony announced PS3 as well as PS4 at the LA Convention Center. If the company shows PS5 at the LACC it could very well be the last Sony console to be announced at the venue.

Many rumors surround PS5 release date and announcement plans and this will be filed alongside them. Sony previously indicated that it does not plan to release PS5 until 2021.

PS4 is still doing exceptionally well in the market but since games are becoming demanding with every release, new hardware is a necessity at this point.

Bethesda’s Starfield is reportedly held back by current hardware limitations. It would be among the first PS5 games and is rumored for late 2019. New trademark information suggests Bethesda plans to release Starfield in November of next year.

On the flip side of the coin, Microsoft is also rumored to share its plans by the end of the year with a full reveal early next year. We will have to wait and see how things unfold.
