Treyarch is considering a 3rd person mode for Black Ops 4 Blackout mode while players are spectating other teams. Meanwhile, the camera will remain in first-person when players are spectating their own team. According to David Vonderhaar, it could be good for Blackout so they will consider it. However, it would still be unlikely for the beta.
The final game may actually implement this community requested feature. For now, there are updates planned for the beta. For example, developers are considering nerfing the armor and they have just added a new mode to the battle royale section of the game.
A new mode called “Fast Collapse” was added to the mix with a new update. In the new mode, Black Ops 4 Blackout beta players will have to reach the safe sooner faster than usual. The circle moves at a faster rate of speed than the normal battle royale mode.
Moreover, changes to the loot pick up are also in the works for the beta while they are already implemented in the final game. Players will no longer have to look directly at the item before picking it up.
This was an annoying issue reported by a number of players before Treyarch finally took notice and decided to implement change. The next update rolls out this Thursday with a nerf for the armor and a range of other fixes and changes.
Black Ops 4 Blackout mode beta will last another week or so. The final game will release in October for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. But the game is already impacting its competitors. PUBG player count dipped below a million for the first time this year after the release of Blackout beta. In fact, Treyarch recently commented on facing Fornite in the battle royale market and it seems they are counting on the humongous player base of the Call of Duty series.
Preorders for the game are now live.
