Square Enix has finally revealed the upcoming Shadow Of the Tomb Raider with an exciting trailer and also has been revealing new details about the game and the publisher has revealed who will be handling the Shadow Of The Tomb Raider PC port and it is safe to say the PC port is in safe hands.
Square Enix has revealed that Shadow Of The Tomb Raider PC port will be handled by Nixxes Software, who has quite a track record for porting games to PC.
Nixxes is the same studio who has worked on the PC ports of Dues Ex Mankind Divided and Rise of the Tomb Raider to name just a couple of games. Both these games were very demanding technically, however, performance-wise these games ran well on most PCs as they offered a lot of options.
Speaking of the game, Square Enix has also revealed the season pass for the game shortly after the trailer went live. The season pass will give players access to 7 adventures that will be available post-launch. The season pass for the game will bring one new adventure each month.
Crystal Dynamics has not shown much about the upcoming title but, last year a concept art for the game leaked which suggests that the game might feature unique weapons like a machete and a spear.
The leaked artwork comes from TAKEOFF Creative, which is a marketing firm and has a history of working with Square Enix. However, the page on company’s website where the artwork was revealed has been taken down.
Also, the artwork is not specific enough to indicate where the game will be set but, as the trailer showcases, we will be seeing Lara Crost finding the Mayan Civilization.
Shadow Of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game in development at Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics and is scheduled to release on September 14, 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
