Everything they created in inside the $60 package you buy. There are no plans to add DLC content to God of War for the time being. However, that may change in the future.

Update: While fans are eager to see something more for God of War, as of May 27, there are still no plans for God of War DLC. Fans are taking to social pages of Sony Santa Monica and its developers to push for DLC content.

Original Story: God of War DLC is something we were expecting to see due to the nature and scale of this AAA game. However, that is not going to happen, at least there are no plans for it to happen at the time. According to Cory Barlog, they added everything they can to the game without holding back parts of it for DLC.

Everything they created in inside the $60 package you buy. Speaking Kind Funny Games, Barlog explained that he did not want to hold anything back and he does not have any DLC plans.

have no DLC plans. I did not want a DLC to feel like: Oh, we’ll hold that back for a DLC. We really did not hold anything back and put everything into the game.

This is a move that not many developers make but due to the popularity of God of War, plans for DLC may be put in place in the future. We will have to wait and see how this goes.

God of War released on April 20 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. You can enjoy higher visual fidelity on the Pro version. The game has received great reviews across the board and has proved to be a success for Sony Santa Monica.

The game is using a one-cut camera system that adds depth to the overall cinematic experience. However, it also means that you can not skip cut-scenes which is an issue for speedrunners.

If you are yet to play God of War, you can pick up the game for $55. Following the link here will help you save $5 on your purchase.
