Forza is one of the biggest franchises for Microsoft with Forza Horizon and Motorsports iterations taking turns each year and it seems that Microsoft is planning to announce Forza Horizon 4 at E3 2018.
This is according to Fernanda Delgado, head of Xbox Spain and Portugal, who confirmed in an interview that Forza Horizon 4 will be announced at E3 2018. Microsoft’s press conference for E3 is scheduled for June 10.
This is not the first indication that Forza Horizon 4 will be announced and released in 2018 as Brazilian Classification Board listing suggests that Horizon 4 will release in 2018.
Aside from Forza Horizon 4, developer of the Forza Horizon franchise, Playground Games, is also working on a non-racing title. The studio is working on a game codenamed “Project 2”.
According to founder and creative director, Ralph Fulton, the team has become quite good at developing racing games but they want to prove themselves in a different genre.
We feel like we’ve become pretty good at racing games over the years. We can always strive to get better but we’d love to prove ourselves in a different genre. That’s another goal of Project 2, to allow us to do that. We’re going to need to hire some very talented people with experience that we don’t have.
Speaking of E3 2018 announcements, Bethesda has potentially teased Doom 2 announcement at its E3 2018 conference.
Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth [emphasis added] time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited.
For those who don’t know, “Hell On Earth” is actually the subtitle for the original Doom II which was released back in 1994 and is an awfully specific phrase.
Are you excited for the upcoming Forza Horizon Game? What location do you expect the game will be set in? Let us know in the comments.
