For those who have a hard time dealing with DRM-ed games, we have some great news. Biomutant and Darksiders 3 will be published on GOG without any DRM restrictions. DRM is often linked to negative performance impacts so it is nice to know that a DRM free version is going to be available.
However, that also means that Biomutant and Darksiders 3 could be pirated without any significant hurdles. But it is also a fact that gamers support good games and prefer buying them instead of pirating. The Witcher 3 is a perfect example of how gamers supported by buying millions of copies of this DRM free title.
There isn’t much known about the release plans for the games but it is safe to say that they will arrive on GOG and Steam at the same time.
Biomutant is under development at Experiment 101, a studio that was recently acquired by THQ Nordic. Meanwhile, Darksiders 3 is being made by THQ Nordic as well but according to the company, they are not planning big marketing push for them.
It is a surprising move but one that makes sense. THQ games usually appeal to a niche audience. It seems that may be looking to band on the worth of mouth and positive reviews for both games. Darksiders games are excellent so the same level of quality is expected from the new installment.
It has been a while since we saw both games but we expect in-depth discussions and reveals at E3 2018. Release plans are also expected to be shared.
Do you think a GOG DRM version of both games show that devs are confident in their product? Let us know in the comments below.
