Sony has just dropped some huge news for PlayStation 4 owners that still haven’t grabbed their PlayStation Plus subscription in Europe. According to a recent announcement, if you want to grab a PlayStation Plus Annual Membership now is the time since if you do, you get Far Cry 4 for free.
Apparently, if you get a PlayStation Plus Annual Membership in the next two weeks you’ll get a free digital copy of Far Cry 4 Standard Edition to start off your collection. The offer is valid from 29th January at 11:00 CET to 12th February at 11:00 CET and, for now, is only available in Europe. However, there’s no indication as to whether this offer will hit other regions too.
The 12-month PlayStation Plus membership costs €59.99 and gives you access to multiplayer gaming on your PlayStation console as well as grand you free games every month and exclusive discounts on PlayStation Store.
Bad news for those who already have a Plus subscription though, the offer is only available for PSN accounts that do not have active PS Plus membership at the time of purchase.
In related news, the free games of PlayStation Plus for January are available. These are the games you get this month:
- Batman: The TellTale Series (PS4)
- Deus Ex Mankind Divided (PS4)
- StarBlood Arena (PSVR)
- That’s You!
- Sacred 3 (PS3)
- Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (PS3)
- Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (PS Vita & PS4)
- Uncanny Valley (PS Vita & PS4)
As for February, there is still no word as to what games the PlayStation Plus membership will include, however, according to a rumor that’s going around Plus members may get Dark Souls 2 as their free game. If the PlayStation Plus Free Games for February are indeed going to be Dark Souls 2 and Far Cry 4, this might mean that PlayStation is finally starting to get it right with their free games.
