According to Cory Barlog of Sony Santa Monica, they have no plans for a God of War 4 season pass. He confirmed this over on his official Twitter page, saying that God of War 4 season pass isn’t happening. In a time when monetizing games via aggressive microtransactions and shallow season pass content has become a norm, not releasing a season pass for a major IP is admirable.
He also mentioned that God of War 4 story is “awesome” but he confirmed his bias as well; so we have to play the game to see how the events play out. For now, we know that God of War will explore the Norse Mythology and players get to know Kratos’ son.
Popular Norse gods are expected to appear but none have so far been confirmed by Sony Santa Monica. However, the release trailer for the game may give us a look at some of them. More about the game will be revealed in the coming weeks.
No season pass. As for the story questions – you will have to wait and play the game to see how it all shakes out. I just finished another play-through last night around midnight and it was still awesome! I’m totally biased, though.

While there is no God of War 4 season pass but developers do offer a special edition of the game. It comes with the following contents and costs $69.99. The deluxe edition is available at different retailers in the United States and Europe.

Apart from this, recently, Gamestop announced an exclusive God of War 4 Stone Mason edition. It is the most expensive God of War edition available but its contents do justify its price point. PS4 players will see the following items in their God of War Stone Mason Edition. Since there is no season pass, physical goodies are is where your extra cash can go to.

God of War 4 is releasing sometime in early 2018 and since the game seems to be playable from start to finish, we can expect an announcement soon. According to previous details, God of War 4 for PS4 will kickstart a new era for series, more games are planned already.
