Fans of Destiny franchise aren’t particularly happy with Destiny 2 partly due to lack of end-game content and more, however, Bungie will be adding new Destiny 2 content like weapons and secrets but they will only be added in future expansions.
The news comes from Destiny 2 game director Chris Barrett who took it to Twitter and noted that new Destiny 2 content will be added but also noted that they will only be added to new expansions. The tweet came in response to a previous tweet from the director in which the director confirmed that the game will see new content.
In this Tweet, he clears up that new Destiny 2 weapons and secrets will only be added in future expansion for the game.
There is a general consensus that publishers force developers to include micro-transactions in games, however, according to a recent report, the addition of micro-transactions in Destiny 2 was apparently Bungie’s own decision. The report further suggests that Destiny 2 was rebooted half-way through the development following the change in game directors.
I think that it was made in a relatively short period of time. There was a big reboot of Destiny 2 at some point in early 2016. There had been a previous guy who was directing the game before Luke Smith, who’s the current director, took over. So that guy was kind of put aside – he’s not at Bungie anymore – and Luke Smith took over.
Also, Bungie has unlocked Iron Banner and Faction Rally for all, regardless of whether they own Curse of Osiris or not.
Both of these modes were kind of locked behind the Curse Of Osiris DLC with no regard from Bungie that these were available to everyone before the launch of the expansion.
Destiny 2 is a first-person action shooter developed by Bungie for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
