Assassin’s Creed fans have been asking for an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan and the last entry in the franchise took us to ancient Egypt and now it seems that the next entry in the Assasin’s Creed franchise will be set in Feudal Japan as another leaked Assassin’s Creed concept art has made its way on the internet suggesting that.
The clue that the next Assassin’s Creed will be set in Feudal Japan comes from comes from the artstation profile of Juhani Jokinen, associate lead concept artist at Ubisoft. You can check out the leaked Assassin’s Creed concept art below which features what seem to be Japanese Assassin’s standing inside one of the temples remnant of The “First Civilization” or “Those who came before”.
This is the second clue to an upcoming Assassin’s Creed game set in Feudal Japan as two concept arts were revealed by the same artist back in November 2017. In one of the concept arts, Assassins are riding on horses towards a fortress which looks very similar to Temples in Japan, also the horse rider has Assassin’s mark on his back.
It is important to mention that take it as a grain of salt until Ubisoft officially announces it but, the clues suggesting that the next game will be set in Feudal Jpan are quite strong.
Furthermore, we might see the launch of Assassin’s Creed Rogue HD to current gen consoles if the rumor is to be believed. Originally Assassin’s Creed Rogue launched for Xbox 360 and PS3 was released for PC sometime later.
Do you think Ubisoft might actually be featuring Feudal Japan in an upcoming Assassin’s Creed title? Should Ubisoft release a game featuring Feudal Japan setting? Let us know in the comments.
