Firaxis Games has announced the first big Civilization VI expansion dubbed “Rise and Fall”. This new expansion will be available on February 8, 2018, and developer Firaxis Games has also rolled a new trailer for the upcoming expansion which you can see above.
Civilization VI: Rise and Fall expansion will add nine new leaders, 8 new civilizations, 8 new world wonders, seven natural wonders, 4 new units, 2 tile improvements, 14 new buildings, three new resources, two new districts and a partridge and a pear-tree.
Successful leadership of a civilization can send it into a prosperous Golden Age, but falling behind can usher in a Dark Age. Respond well to the challenges of a Dark Age, and your civilization can rise again into renewal with a Heroic Age.
Furthermore, the cities will have individual loyalty to the leadership and if it falls too low then obviously the yields will be low and the city might be lost to another civilization.
Players will be able to recruit and upgrade powerful Governors which themselves come with unique specialization bonuses and promotion trees and will reinforce city’s loyalty to the leadership.
The new expansion also brings a new system “Emergencies”. In this system, if one civilization grows too strong then the weaker civilization can join up against the strong civilization and reap better rewards.
Civilization VI is a turn-based 4X video game developed by Firaxis Games for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and MAC OS.
