Microsoft has rolled out the Windows 10 Fall Creators update which brings new features, some fixes and more. However, there is a chance that an update can cause problems within an OS or any software and that is the case with Windows 10 Fall creators update which has caused a bug that causes some installed apps to go missing.

Following the reports from users that after Fall Creators update, some installed apps in Windows 10 are not showing up, Microsoft has acknowledged that there is a bug that is causing the apps to not show up even if they are installed on your system.

However, Microsoft has assured that it is investigating the issue saying “investigating reports of missing apps after installing the Fall Creators Update”. Not only that, Microsoft has also provided some steps that may or may not restore the missing apps.

Hit Enter

Also, until a proper fix comes out for this bug, Windows 10 users will have to roll back to the previous versions to get their apps back.

While the Fall Creators Update has caused this problem but, the update also brings new features to the OS. It seems that Microsoft hates cheaters in video games and has introduced TruePlay Anti-Cheat Measure for games in its latest update for Windows 10.

According to Microsoft, those PC games that will use this feature will run in a “protected process” designed to guard games against a common way for cheaters to access game’s code. The system will collect data throughout the game session and will report back if it notices any notorious behavior from the player.
