If Link just isn’t doing it for you, a new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild mod has been released recently to fix that. The mod allows you to replace everyone’s favorite Hylian hero with the foul-mouthed criminal protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Carl “CJ” Johnson.
This is possible through a recent mod that allows players access to the game’s master code, meaning that you can put any object into the game anywhere you want. For instance, putting CJ in Link’s place as the central character. It doesn’t affect game performance either, as CJ has all of Link’s abilities and can perform them, whether you’re fighting enemies with weapons or doing spin attacks.
However, the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild mod does require you to not be wearing any armor if you want it to work properly. Whether this means the game will outright break or that CJ will just become Link again hasn’t been elaborated on, but you can pick up the mod for yourself at GameBanana.
However, there isn’t really anything else that you can do with CJ as Link except for the sheer hilarity of a protagonist from a game with guns, crime, and cursing going around swinging a sword and yelling HYAH! If you find that sort of thing funny, anyway. The master code mod might even add in some other fun if you just want to go nuts, making enemies in the game take the form of enemies from other games, and things like that.
Even if you’ve beaten the game for yourself, there’s still plenty of other stuff you can do in Hyrule while using the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild mod, like collecting Koroks and doing other things. You could even use other mods for it. Once again, you can find the mod on GameBanana.
