Crystal Dynamics Would Love to See Lara Croft on Nintendo Switch

Crystal Dynamic Media senior brand director, Rich Briggs during his talk with IGN Live states that he would love to play Lara Croft on his Nintendo Switch.

Many videogame companies already have their sights on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo’s most recent console is the perfect combination of handheld and coutch gaming so an idea of including their games to its dynamic is a potential win.

Crystal Dynamic Media is one of those companies with their senior brand director, Rich Briggs stating that some of Tomb Raider’s adventures would look great on Nintendo Switch. During a talk with IGN Live at this year’s Gamescom Briggs was asked if any of Lara’s isometric games would come to Nintendo Switch. He replied that he would love to play  Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light on his Nintendo Switch.

Whether or not Briggs consipatory smile on the camera is a sign that we are going to see those games on Nintendo Switch or not remains to be seen. The truth is though that these two games are the perfect match for the console given their small size and minimum requirements. Also who wouldn’t love to go on a journey with Lara from the comfort of his bed?

Even though the company is supposedly already working on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Briggs didn’t make any new announcements. It seems Crystal Dynamic Media is maybe giving Lara Croft ports to Nintendo Switch, which is something not far from reality considering Square Enix is already supporting the console.

Other than Nintendo Switch, Lara Croft is on her way to Xbox One X with the Rise of the Tomb Raider with all new enhancements on November 7. This version will include 3 visual modes: native 4K, enriched visual support and high framerate support which will give out a crisp 60 frames per second to the game. For current owners of the game on Xbox One the upgrade will be free as a patch on the main Rise of the Tomb Raider.
