A Fire Emblem: Fates Complete Edition was briefly advertised for the Switch by the Spanish version of Amazon, before being unceremoniously removed. The Complete Edition likely would be made up of all three of the different Fire Emblem: Fates story routes: Conquest, Birthright, and Revelations, but it was quickly removed.
The possibility of a Fire Emblem game for the Nintendo Switch has been brought up before, but many expected it to be a mainline Fire Emblem, not a possible port. However, a new mainline Fire Emblem game might still be in the cards, even if a Fire Emblem: Fates compilation is coming. A port for the Switch has been in the news for several months, so this could be it.
A Fire Emblem: Fates Complete Edition would allow players that didn’t buy the latest Fire Emblem game and bought a Nintendo Switch to go through the entire game without having to buy all three of the different story routes, which were sold separately on release and tell different stories after an identical opening.
There’s going to be at least one other Fire Emblem game on the Switch, a musou game known as Fire Emblem: Warriors which features two new main characters but also brings in a variety of characters from other Fire Emblem games, such as Marth and Chrom.
The listing on the Fire Emblem: Fates Complete Edition says that it will be coming out on November 17 of this year, so if it’s going to come out after all (despite the listing being taken off of the website) it will come out then. Nintendo might end up revealing it for real on some incoming Nintendo Direct, but for now we have no real information about it.
Whether the game is going to actually be releasing or not, we’ll just have to wait and see if Nintendo gives out any information on it, along with whatever other Fire Emblem games are going to be on the Switch.
