Fans were disappointed after Nintendo announced the discontinuation of the NES Classic Edition following supply issues. However, Nintendo has not announced any follow-up to NES Classic but recently a rumor emerged that Nintendo will launch SNES Classic Edition later this year and is seems that Microsoft’s E3 survey might have confirmed it.

Microsoft is currently surveying for Xbox Live Reward members and this is the survey that mentioned the SNES Classic Edition. The survey asks that question about the E3 announcements Xbox fans are most looking forward to and the consoles listed are SNES Mini, Xbox Project Scorpio, PS4 Pro, and Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft is yet to comment on this situation. However, until Nintendo officially announces it take it as a grain of salt as this could potentially be a mistake.
