Nintendo Switch has been quite successful for Nintendo as it has outsold both Xbox One and PS4 for two consecutive months in the US. While Nintendo expects the console to sell 10 million units for its next fiscal year but, a new report has made its way to the internet that suggests that Nintendo is increasing Nintendo Switch Production.
According to the report from Financial Times, Nintendo has decided to increase the Nintendo Switch Production. According to the report, the sources have revealed that Nintendo is gunning for an even higher sales figure for its current fiscal year and aims to produce 18 million units by the end of this fiscal year.
While it is just a rumour, analysts predict that these numbers could increase to 20 million. Analysts told Financial Times that Nintendo might have intentionally lowered its sales forecasts. However, until Nintendo announces it officially take this as a grain of salt but, it would make sense for the company to increase the production since Nintendo has struggled to keep Switch in stock.
This is not the first time a rumour regarding Switch’s production has appeared as earlier this year a report suggested that Nintendo intends to produce 16 million units for the hybrid console for the current fiscal year. The report further suggested that the company expects Switch to sell 10 million units by March 2018.
In related news, Epic Games has announced that Unreal Engine 4 is now fully compatible with Switch. Epic Games has now released the source code for the engine to approved creators for free. The new version which is UE4.16 replaces the 4.15 version which had experimental support for the console.
