Shadow of the Tomb Raider Will Not Be Revealed At E3 But Later On This Year, Could Be An Egyptian Adventure

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is supposed to be the upcoming title in the Tomb Raider franchise and with leaks coming out we were expecting to see a trailer of maybe a teaser of the game at E3 this year. Even though some sites had speculated that we would get something this E3, it seems that is not the case.

Franchise Senior Community Manager Meagan Marie, has confirmed that there will be nothing related to Shadow of the Tomb Raider at E3. This, however, does not mean that all hope is lost. Marie also said that the adventure will continue later this year so we can expect to see something after E3, maybe before the end of the year?

Some cosplay pictures of Meagan Marie posing as Lara have made their way to the internet and it is possible that the next game will be based in Egypt. Pyramid and the sorts are not new to the Tomb Raider franchise but getting something new in Shadow of the Tomb Raider with modern day graphics would be a huge treat for fans all around the world.

According to franchise Senior Community Manager Meagan Marie:

This will be a quiet E3 for Lara, but we’re looking forward to catching up on her new adventure later this year.

Egypt will be interesting indeed, keeping in mind that the upcoming Assassins Creed game is also rumored to be based in Egypt. In 2017 we can expect to have 2 different kinds of adventures in Egypt and that should be very interesting. It all depends on the implementation and story of the game.

The previous 2 games in the series were pretty great and I for one would love to play another Tomb Raider game based in Egypt.

Let us know what you think about Shadow of the Tomb Raider and whether or not you think Egypt is the right direction for the game.
