Remedy Entertainment: P7 Is Not Alan Wake 2, But “Hope To Make It One Day If Possible”

Soon after the announcement of P7 many started speculating that it might be Alan Wake 2 but according to Remedy Entertainment it is not.

Just recently news emerged that Remedy’s next game will be multiplatform title as Remedy Entertainment is porting its Northlight Game engine to PS4 and the next title is codenamed P7.

Soon after fans started speculating that P7, the next title from Remedy Entertainment, might be Alan Wake 2. However, Remedy Entertainment has clarified that the upcoming P7 is not Alan Wake 2.

While replying to a fan on Twitter Remedy Entertainment said that while they would love to share details about Alan Wake 2 but for now their focus is Crossfire 2 and P7.

@MrXBob @deviance23 We have been really upfront about whats up with AW2. Hope to make it one day if possible, but for now it's CF2 and P7.

Fans of the Alan Wake have been waiting for Alan Wake 2 for years and have been asking Microsoft if it would publish the sequel or not. However, according to Xbox head, Phil Spencer, Remedy is not interested in developing an Alan Wake sequel.

For those who don’t know about Crossfire 2, it is a tactical shooter in development at Smilegate and Remedy is co-developing singleplayer for Crossfire 2.

No gameplay details have been revealed for CrossFire 2, but Smilegate hopes that new technology, game modes, and storytelling will make CrossFire 2 a popular shooter not only for the Asian market but also in the rest of the world.
