It is no surprise that Ubisoft is working on a new Assassin’s Creed game. We did not get one this year as the company was working on not making Watch Dogs 2 suck as bad as the first one and it seems that it was a wise move. There have been a couple of leaks regarding Assassin’s Creed Empire and it is speculated that the game will be based in Egypt.
Assassin’s Creed Empire leaks claim that there will be a new character design and that the game is being made by the same team that was behind Black Flag. Needless to say, that was a pretty great game and I hope they do a similar, if not a better job when it comes to Assassin’s Creed Empire.
Rumors suggest that this could be a reboot of the entire franchise. A new combat system is going to be introduced to the game and it is possible that the actions you do in the game will affect the game world in real time. This could be very interesting as is the case with Assassin’s Creed, you are open to options and there is always more than one way of doing something.
It will be interesting to see how the game changes according to different actions in different situations. As of right now Ubisoft has made no confirmation about the game and that it exists so we will have to wait a while. It seems that the game will be coming out sometime next year.
With Watchdogs 2 coming out for PC soon I am sure that the developers will have more than enough time to concentrate on Assassin’s Creed Empire. Over time the Assassin’s Creed series has become pretty old and I think it is about time that we got some major changes in the game.
I think that major changes in the game are going to pay a huge role in the franchise’s future. What do you think about Assassin’s Creed Empire?
