Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 might not be so popular among gamers for its futuristic setting, but still the game is the best selling tile of this generation.
As a part of their quarterly financial report, Activision took the opportunity to boast out the sales for Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 and its other games. According to the report last year’s Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 “continues to be the top-selling current-gen game”.
Activision also noted that how Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 outperformed the previous Call Of Duty games. According to Activision, Call Of Duty Black Ops III tops Advanced Warfare in terms of full game sales, in-game-content sales, monthly active users, and in engagement.
According to the report, Call Of Duty franchise has generated more revenue compared to the same period last year, and it also has generated more revenue than it ever has during the first half of 2016. Activision also noted that the number of people buying in-game content has doubled, and it did so without decline in average revenue generated per person.
The report also claims that this year’s upcoming Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare is seeing a higher percentage of pre-orders for the more expensive versions of the game. That is probably because the expensive versions like Legacy edition include the remastered Call Of Duty Modern Warfare.
Legacy Edition for the game is priced at $79.99 USD, which includes Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remaster. This edition is available in both physical and digital versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox one.
Activision has also announced the release date for Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 the Descent DLC for Xbox One and PC. The dlc will release for both systems on August 11, 2016.
Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 is first person shooter developed by Treyarch for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
