Forza Horizon 3 Off-road Driving Explained, Will Be Stunning In HDR

Playground Games has put a lot of emphasis on Forza Horizon 3 off-road driving, and the skies in the game will be stunning specially in HDR.

Forza Horizon series is one of the most popular racing games franchises, and the hype for this franchise is high as Forza Horizon 3 releasing this year. The announcement of Forza Horizon 3 during E3 was well received, since the game will also be making appearance on PC. Now developers have given some more details about Forza Horizon 3 off-road driving, world size and more.

Speaking with Gamereactor,Turn 10 and Playground Games’ creative directors, Dan Greenawalt and Ralph Fulton, said that the world of Forza Horizon 3 is twice as big compared to Forza Horizon 2 and also twice as diverse.

The thing we were going for here is, even though the world is twice the size of Forza Horizon 2’s, the really important thing is it’s twice as diverse.

Fulton further added that the team has put a lot of emphasis on Forza Horizon 3 off-road driving, as players will be seeing different terrains in the game like rain forest, rivers and more.

You’ll see an enormous emphasis in off-road driving. You’re going to be crushing through rain forests, you’ll be driving in the sea, actually driving through rivers, so we’ve done a lot of work in suspension, a lot of work on tyre compounds to make sure that we’re reflecting exactly how all these 350+ cars react to those different scenarios.

Greenawalt also touched the subject of HDR capabilities of Forza Horizon 3, according to him skies in Forza Horizon 3 are amazing specially in HDR. He further said that once players get their hands on the game, they will see for themselves that what HDR can do.

“When you see the skies in Horizon in particular in HDR, the skies are amazing. (…) We’re not currently showing that right here [at E3], but as gamers get their hands on the Xbox One S and on Forza Horizon 3, they’re going to see an amazing showcase of what HDR can do.

Forza Horizon 3 is scheduled to release on September 27 for PC and Xbox One.
