TitanFall was released on Xbox platforms and PC a couple of years back. The game was a decent piece of software but it was missing something critical, a dedicated single-player campaign.
It was criticised for not having a single player campaign and yet trying to milk as much money. Fortunately, same wouldn’t be the same with its sequel. TitanFall 2 will indeed release with a single player campaign.
Lead writer Jesse Stern spoke about TitanFall 2 and said:
The multi-player game will be even better than it was the first time around. The first game was an Xbox exclusive (initially). This one is going to be widely available, I believe on all platforms. One of the shortcomings of the first game was we just did not have the mechanism to tell everyone ‘here’s who you are, here’s where you are and who’s around you.’ We knew all the answers, we just could not deliver it.
He went on to say that this time around they are making sure they tell a story and give players all the answers. With the story, they aren’t taking the traditional sci-fi approach, they want the story to be practical and convey it a manner that delivers realism.
Rather than taking a traditional sci-fi approach to that we wanted to look at how that would happen practically, what the ships would look like and with machines that were designed for excavation and construction , demolition and working the land, and what happens when they are turned into instruments of war.
That’s good to know.
TitanFall 2 is expected to release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation platforms. An official reveal is yet to come.
