Left 4 Dead 2 Rumour Hints at Possible Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One

Though the rumour is unconfirmed, it appears that people have installed Left 4 Dead 2 on Xbox One, is it coming to the Backwards Compatibility list?

Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility has proven popular with the console with some interesting games being released each year. With high anticipation over what games will come next there are some high on the list.

One such game that will no doubt be wanted is Left 4 Dead 2. Based on a rumour reported by SoloBoxOne it appears that some people are saying they have managed to install the game. This was also confirmed with the below image.

This rumour was based on comments on the site’s forum as well as Reddit though looking at the Reddit page it appears that many of the users there haven’t managed to install their own versions of the game. This raises the question of the image being a fake, or maybe it could be a leak of a future release of the game?

With rumours of Left 4 Dead 3 possibly coming in 2017, releasing Left 4 Dead 2 on Backwards Compatibility could be a move that will show if there is still interest in the game. With Turtle Rock having moved onto Evolve and probably not working on any more Left 4 Dead titles, it will be interesting to see who would develop Left 4 Dead 3, and what it will look like.

We’ll have to see what games are revealed by Microsoft and if Left 4 Dead 2 will make a return, but for now all we can do is add this to the rumour list. If true though this will be a popular choice for many who would like to see the return of the co-op Zombie killing title.
