Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC Taken Down After Accidental Early Release

Two pieces of DLC were released to Rise of the Tomb Raider yesterday, but it appears they were released a little too early and have now been removed.

It looks like some of the DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider may have been released a little too early. Though they appeared on the Xbox Store, they have now been removed.

This has been reported by Pixeldynamo who say that although the Ancient Vanguard and Wilderness Survivor DLC had appeared on the Xbox Store yesterday for Xbox One, it has now been removed. The downloadable content included two outfits, the Ancient Vanguard, and Nightshade. These would be craft-able in-game. These have now been removed from the store with the blueprints in-game also being removed.

With the removal, it looks like they may not be back for some time. The chances are they will be released when Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, and Cold Darkness Awakened are released. This will mean The Ancient Vanguard DLC can be expected January 12, with the Wilderness Survivor pack coming in February 9. They will both cost $2.99/£2.39.

One thing that has been confirmed from these DLC releases though is what kind of materials you’ll need to collect in order to craft them. If they don’t change between now and the re-release of the DLC the blueprints state that you’ll need at least gear salvage of at least 45, and at least 10 for chromite ore. This is for the Ancient Vanguard costume. For the Nightshade outfit you’ll need some animal resources including a minimum of 10 exotic animal resources.

While mistakes happen, and it looks like the DLC was released early it’s a shame that it had to be taken down. For those who got a look at it though, obviously it was a nice teaser for what is to come.

What are your thoughts on the new outfits? Are you looking forward to using them? Let us know below.
