Shenmue 3 is one of the games that everyone is talking about these days. There is a massive Kickstarter campaign going on at the same time when Sony is backing it; but the developers are also impressive with what they plan to bring in terms of content and features.
That being said, game creator Yu Suzuki was recently bombarded with boatloads of questions through his Twitter which he spent a lot of time answering. We have some new details to share with you.
So first off, he showed interested in continuing crowdfunding for the game even after the Kickstarter campaign ends by saying that “we will look into it.” However, he did add that he won’t be disappointed even if the community doesn’t help reach the $10 million goal:
I am grateful I have another chance for a new Shenmue. I will do everything I can within the budget.
Talking of “Online arcade Highscores or Online 70 man fighting battles,” he said that “it will be a lot of fun, but depends on budget, so still under consideration.”
Suzuki also revealed that Shenmue 3 is going to have a total of 11 chapters although there are going to be branching storylines meaning you can effectively play more than just that.
Regarding technologies, he said that they would love to take on new challenges like including latest technology with regards to the AI and also to build on motions in the game as he added they are “researching the new technology to have more natural motions in Shenmue 3.”
There is a lot (I repeat, a lot) more where all this came from, so we suggest you check out Twitter profile of Yu Suzuki in order to find out everything he shared with regards to Shenmue 3.
