Mass Effect Andromeda Day One Patch Will Be Around 2 GB, No Info Yet

A Mass Effect Andromeda day one patch will be around two gigabytes to install, but there's no info yet on what it actually will change in the game.

Before Mass Effect Andromeda comes out, as with many games these days, there will have to be a Mass Effect Andromeda day one patch in order to add some things in to the game.

Day One patches are normally used to add a few last-minute tweaks by developers before play.

While the Mass Effect Andromeda day one patch will apparently be around two gigabytes in size, there isn’t really any other information about it or what all it does.

While Day One patches are commonplace these days, not really telling us what’s going to be on the patch isn’t.

Mass Effect Andromeda is now only around two weeks away from launch, coming out on March 21 in North America and March 23 in Europe. The game has had a huge brace of various information trailers and developer diaries that have shown off characters, planets, and mechanics, and just today released its launch trailer.

This weekend we’ll also be seeing multiplayer footage. While we’ve seen clips of it, we haven’t seen a dedicated video of the multiplayer component of the game. There was supposed to be a technical demo released several weeks ago, however that fell through.

For whatever reason, this weekend is now the time they’ll show it off.

Subscribers to EA Access on PC can start playing the game early, starting next week on March 17, four (or seven) days early, depending on your location.

In the meantime, with the game’s full release still roughly over a week away, BioWare still has plenty of time to reveal information about what exactly is in the two gigabyte Mass Effect Andromeda day one patch.

However, until that time comes, we can simply let the anticipation build as we get ready to leave the Milky Way galaxy behind and set off for a new adventure in a whole new galaxy.
