Resident Evil 7 Denuvo DRM Apparently Has Been Cracked

The PC version of Resident Evil 7 uses the Denuvo to protect it from being pirated but it seems that this DRM is not helping them much

Resident Evil 7 is the first major release of 2017 and a critically acclaimed one. The PC version of the game uses the Denuvo DRM to protect it from being pirated but it seems that this DRM is not helping them much as the Resident Evil 7 has been cracked.

When Denuvo was first announced it seemed to be a perfect solution to piracy of the PC version of games and it seemed to be an effective one as many games have not yet been cracked that uses this DRM.

However, things have changed as more and more games are popping up that are being cracked, the most recent examples of this are Doom 2016, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Rise Of The Tomb Raider.

Resident Evil 7 used the latest version of Denuvo which has been cracked in less than 5 days. This is a big blow not only to Capcom but to all major publishers who use this DRM. Now the question is, will Capcom keep using Denuvo or will it remove it? as Bethesda also removed the DRM from Doom 2016 as soon as the game was cracked.

Resident Evil 7 is a first-person horror survival game developed by Capcom for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
