The current Halo developers, 343 Industries have started teasing a new Halo project with a new blog post as the company recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Halo franchise.
The blog post reveals that 343 Industries recently had a presentation by Halo Creative Director, Tim Longo where some super-secret stuff was discussed related to the future of the franchise.
Of course Halo 5: Guardians wasn’t the end of the Halo series as Halo Wars 2 is scheduled for an early 2017 release. Whether these new projects relate to the main Halo game series or spin-off titles like Spartan Assault and Halo Wars is unclear at the moment.
However, those who attended the meeting did say that the stuff discussed was definitely exciting.
It is possible that after Halo Wars 2, the next focus for 343 Industries might be Halo 6 as Halo 5 started a new story arc that is to be covered by a trilogy of main Halo titles and it has been previously mentioned that the game is currently in planning stages.
The blog post also revealed a full list of achievements for the upcoming Halo Wars: Definitive Edition which will release tomorrow, 20th December on PC and Xbox One, for those who pre-ordered the digital version of Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition.
Getting this definitive edition should be a good place for those interested in getting their Halo universe fix before the release of Halo Wars 2 on 21st February 2017.
These new projects will however have to be completed without the input of studio head, Josh Holmes, who left 343 Industries last month to work as an indie developer after 7 years at 343 Industries.
Halo 5: Guardians recently received a new free DLC update, Monitor’s Bounty containing new customization options including weapons and skins, REQ packs and custom matches.
