A Call of Duty: Black Ops Collection is now available for the legacy consoles (Xbox 360 and Playstation 3), allowing players that want one last bit of the Black Ops series before they move on to the next generation to play all three games in one convenient package for you to play.

While both Black Ops and Black Ops 2 will have the entirety of the game’s multiplayer available, Black Ops 3 will only have two modes on its multiplayer: the regular multiplayer, and the game’s zombies mode, owing to it being part of the last generation of consoles.
All three Black Ops games are currently available on the Xbox One’s backwards compatibility service, but considering all three of the games in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Collection are currently available on the last generation of consoles anyway, the reasoning behind releasing all three games in a bundle (even going after the Modern Warfare trilogy, which got its own trilogy collection back in May) remains to be seen.
If anything, considering the good reaction that Modern Warfare Remastered got, it might have been better for Treyarch to either remaster Black Ops 1 and then release it with the other two games, or release all of them in an upscaled graphics format to current-gen consoles.
While we don’t know if the Call of Duty: Black Ops collection will also include every bit of DLC for the original Black Ops and Black Ops 2 (though it’s likely that they both do considering all of that DLC is available on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 4), it’s likely that the majority of the Black Ops 3 multiplayer DLC will not be included in the game, as they’re only available on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
If you want to replay the Black Ops trilogy again on last-gen consoles, you can pick up the Call of Duty: Black Ops Collection now on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
