The Order 1886 IP Certainly “Has A Future”, Says Creative Director
The Order 1886 launched in early 2015, despite of such a hype the game was critically panned by critics and gamers alike. However, this does not mean the game was bad, it was very enjoyable but there were some things that developers could have done better. With a lukewarm reception for the game, the developers still think The Order 1886 Ip still has a future.
Speaking with Game Informer, Creative Drector Ru Weerasuriya said that The order 1886 certainly has a future as “that future is already something that was built from the very get go”.
The best way to answer that without giving anything… how can I say this… Is there a future? Yes. That IP has a future. It’s definitely built in that IP. That future is already something that was built from the very get go, from the first day we started working on it. As you know, since you played the game and for the ones who played out there… there is a larger storyline. There is a macro story that keeps going, it’s an IP that is actually bigger than the storylines that we have created. So there are legs to this IP, definitely.
When asked about whether or not Sony still intends to bring a sequel to this IP, to this he responded that “Well, you’ll have to ask Sony that”.
Currently, Ready At Dawn is working on their upcoming game, De-formers, a “third-person smash ‘em arena combat game”, where eight players control different Forms as they engage in melee combat in order to survive and “reign over the other players”.
According to Ready At Dawn, Deformers is designed for those type of players, who like to show off their skills of dominating other players and determination.
