Hackers are at it again as they have just attacked DayZ forum. Bohemia Interactive has confirmed the attack and the leak of passwords, Usernames, other confidential details they stored
The bright side is that passwords weren’t stored in plain text at DayZ forums, however, we still strongly recommend changing your passwords to be safe.
Hackers also brought down Mini DayZ, a free browser based. Servers were down last night due to security issues but at the time we didn’t know the extent of the damage.
Bohemia has now shared the following letter with fans.
A security incident occurred on forums.dayzgame.com recently. According to our investigation all usernames, emails and passwords from forums.dayzgame.com were accessed and downloaded by hackers.
While the passwords were not stored in plain text, but in a more secure form, it is highly recommended that if you have used the same password elsewhere you change it immediately on all applicable websites and services.
Bohemia asked fans to be patient in the next couple of days as they try and deal with problem. Once again, it is strongly recommend that you change your password to be safe.
