Star Citizen is Free This Week! Alpha 2.1.2, Arena Commander, Social Module Included

Cloud Imperium is letting everyone try out Star Citizen Alpha 2.1.2 for free this week with Arena Commander and Social Module.

Star Citizen Alpha 2.1.2 patch was released a couple of days ago targetting bugs in Crusader and Arena Commander and if you are not already playing it, Cloud Imperium Games is letting you try out the game for free this week.

Robert Space Industries wants new Citizens and Free Fly access is their way of doing that. Whether the stealthy and lethal FPS module of the game has got you impressed, or the snazzy BTS videos, you can have it all this week!

The developers have also detailed what you are going to get free for those who are new to the game and also explained what each of these features are about. You’re looking at the Alpha 2.1.2 build itself alongside the Arena Commander and Social Module of the game:

  • Star Citizen Alpha 2.1.2 – Also known as Crusader or the “mini-PU,” this is the nucleus of the world we’re building! Featuring multiple space stations and environments, scripted missions, places to explore and more, Alpha 2.1.2 is your first look at a much larger universe!
  • Arena Commander – Arena Commander is a ‘game within a game’ that we’ve used to develop our flight mechanics and ship combat balance. Take on human opponents or an AI swarm in single seat fighter.
  • Social Module – Interact with other players while you explore our first landing zone, ArcCorp! The Social Module is intended as a starting point for our world building,

If all this gets you excited, you can register for the Free Fly access right now on this link and get your share of space based adventures for the whole week.

The game is supposed to be released this year but Chris Roberts won’t say when.
