Halo 5: Guardians Will Feature Local Split Screen Co-Op in the Final Build

By   /   Dec 20, 2014

Some fresh details about the highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians have been shared by Josh Holmes of 343 Industries.

Hardcore Halo fans were wondering if the game will feature 4 player local split screen co-op. Holmes took to twitter and revealed that the final build of the game will have 2 player local split screen co-op.

Which indicates that 4 player local co-op is no longer an option.

In his own words:

“we’ll have local split screen for 2 players in final.”

This is a disappointing reveal but atleast we know that Halo 5: Guardians will see the return of offline multiplayer.

343 is yet to reveal if the campaign mode will also feature co-op or not. The reason I want to know that is because the game will have both Master Chief and a new character Agent Locke. So, co-op in the story mode makes sense.

Halo 5 is still a long way from release and won’t be available till late 2015 but fans can get a taste of it from the beta.

Although the beta won’t start till the end of this month but fans who took part in the Xbox One preview program can get an early access right now and enjoy the action till December 22. Follow the link here to know more about it.

Halo is one of the most popular franchises out there but the recent release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection was pretty disappointing as it suffered from a number of online issues.

Hopefully, Halo 5 beta and the final build won’t suffer the same way.
