Watch Dogs QR Codes Locations ‘Read Only Guide

While your journey through Chicago, did you come across Black and White QR Codes placed under bridges, on billboards, or on buildings? Have you wondered what’s the purpose of these QR Codes?

Watch Dogs QR Codes Locations

Well, these QR Codes are left there on purpose by a notorious hacker who goes by the alias of ‘Giggles’. As a part of your Investigation, you must find hidden message behind each QR Code and uncover ‘Giggles’.

Though unlocking all ctOS Towers marks the location of each QR Code on your mini-map, you will need to hack them from a certain distance (using a CCTV Camera).

There are a total of 16 QR Codes followed by a bonus mission. Finding all QR Codes will net you ‘Gangster’ weapon and Read-Only Achievement/Trophy.

QR Code #1
Location: Southern Construction Bridge in Pawnee
Head over to the under-construction bridge and keep on going until you come across a CCTV Camera on a container on the left side.

Hack into this camera and read the QR Code on the billboard of a car.

QR Code #2
Location: Loan Shop Alley in Parker Square
You need to head inside the alley with Loan Store and hack into the CCTV Camera right next to a shop with white signboard.

The QR Code you need to scan will be in the north end of the alley; on a bricked building.

QR Code #3
Location: Husker Station in Parker Square
You need to hack the CCTV Camera location on the edge of an alleyway near hanging White and Blue flags.

After hacking the CCTV Camera, look right opposite the street to find the QR Code on a grey building.

Location: Taylor Station in Mad Mile
You need to head over to the Taylor Station and travel to a parking lot located in the northeast side of the area. Get to the St. Valentine’s Day Hotspot Location and hack the CCTV Camera near the garage.

From this camera, hack the CCTV Camera on the office wall and look across to spot the QR Code.

Location: Ryborn Station in Mad Mile
You need to head over to the north side of Ryborn Station followed by traveling to the south side of the Gun Shop.

Hack into the CCTV Camera right above the ATM followed by hacking into another CCTV Camera on a nearby building to scan the QR Code.

QR Code #6
Location: Chicago Water Tower in Mad Mile
Head to the Chicago Water Tower and hack into CCTV Camera located on the building on the east side of the water tower.

These CCTV Cameras will provide you with a perfect angle to scan the QR Code located above the L-Train tracks.

Location: Hollenkamp Train Station in the Loop
You will come across a CCTV Camera attached on a brick wall near the rail bridge into Brandon Docks in the southern part of the Loop.

This CCTV Camera will provide you with a perfect view of the QR Code on a far away building.

Location: Ambrose Theater Alleyway in the Loop
You will spot a CCTV Camera (on a grey bricked building) in the Ambrose Theater Alleyways.

Rotate this CCTV Camera to the west side and you will be able to scan the QR Code near a ctOS Tower antenna.

Location: Beneath the Freeway in the Loop
You need to head towards the east side of the river and hack into the CCTV Camera located attached on a large Freeway Pillar. Zoom in the camera and it will show you the QR Code beneath the Freeway.

Location: Western Station in the Loop
You need to head over to the western side of the Loop on the raised railway tracks. Keep on going and you will come across a brown metallic platform with a CCTV Camera attached directly above it.

Hack into this CCTV Camera and the QR Code will in plain sight behind a dish antenna.

QR Code #11
Location: PumpGo Gas in Brandon Docks
You will see a CCTV Camera attached on the southeast corner of the PumpGo Gas Station. Hack into this camera and rotate it towards the southwest side.

The QR Code will be on a white building with a billboard of an eye.

QR Code #12
Location: Rhodes Train Station in Brandon Docks
The QR Code that you need to scan will be daubed right in front of two chimneys of a factory.

In order to scan these QR Codes, you need to hack into the CCTV Camera located on the corner of a brown bricked building near elevated railway tracks.

Location: Tidis Factory in Brandon Docks
You need to hack into the CCTV Camera located on the corner of a blue office building (at the east side of the bridge in the south-central Brandon Docks).

The QR Code that you need to scan will be daubed on the Tidis Factory across the river.

Location: West side of Racine Boat Yard Docks in Brandon Docks
You need to head towards the Willis Tower near a metallic warehouse with a CCTV Camera attached to it.

Hack into this CCTV Camera and zoom into the QR Code behind the Racine Boat Yard.

QR Code #15
Location: Southwest Wards
You need to travel to the Gun Shop in the main street and hack into a bulb camera attached to an apartment behind a tree.

This bulb camera will provide you with a perfect view of the QR Code on a concrete building.

QR Code #16
Location: Northeast of River Locks in the Wards
You need to head over to the River Lock Gates and spot a CCTV Camera attached on one side of it. Hack into this CCTV Camera and look straight to spot the last QR Code on the concrete walls.

Uploading the Virus

After finding all the QR Codes, you will receive a call from DeadSec asking you to upload a virus into ‘Giggles’ computer.

Travel to ‘Giggles’ apartment in Mad Mile and hack the switch box outside his house. After hacking into his apartment, you need to upload a virus into his computer. As simple as it can get!
