Standing against the undead in Black Ops 2 Origins Zombies goes beyond having a good weapon. This is where the Elemental Staffs come into play. There are four staffs, each focused on a different element – fire, lightning, ice, and wind.
However, building these Staffs requires collecting scattered parts throughout the map. Each Staff has four parts: a specific colored disc, three elemental-themed components, and a crystal. Discs and parts are hidden around key locations, while crystals are obtained through hidden teleporters activated by gramophones.
Each staff has unique abilities and powers. The Fire Staff shoots three balls of fire in different directions, the Ice Staff freezes zombies, the Wind Staff has a larger blast radius, and the Lightning Staff is a one-hit kill until round 15.
With everything being said, this guide will walk you through collecting parts of all four staffs in Black Ops 2 Zombies Origins and crafting them into a fine weapon.
How to craft all Zombies Origins Staffs?
Red Staff (Fire)
Location: Around the church.
To craft the Fire Staff, you’ll need to find the following parts:
- Red Disc: Located inside the church, either upstairs or downstairs.
- The second part can be found after activating the sixth generator. This can be done by feeding it the Timekeeper zombies.
- The third part is randomized; you have to look up in the air and shoot down the glowing airplane, which will drop the part. The glowing plane won’t always be there, so you must check frequently. Once you shoot the plane, go past the excavation site towards the fourth generator near the juggernaut and take a right to get the part.
- Kill the boss zombie for the first time to obtain the final part.
After you grab the gramophone, hold X to add it to the table behind you and use the white disc to open the staircase in front of you. Before entering the crafting chamber, you need the last part: the crystal. You will find the crystal in the fire chamber near the spawn room. Go down to the bottom of it and place the gramophone down.
If you have all the parts of the fire staff, it should open the teleporter. Go to the other side, grab the red stone, go to the teleporter, and press X to head back.
Once you are on the other side, grab the gramophone, return to the excavation site’s bottom, and craft the Fire Staff in the red machine.
Purple Staff (Lightning)
Location: Near the Generator #4.
To craft the Lightning Staff, you’ll need to find the following parts:
- Purple Disc: Located over by Juggernaut.
- You must jump on top of the zombie tank for the second part and grab the purple part.
- For the third part, jump back on the zombie tank and drop off on the platform on the right near the excavation site. You will find the part in the hidden tunnel underneath.
- For the final part, you need to head inside the church but to get there; you need to use the zombie tank again. You need to enter the church from the backside to get the item.
Once you have all the parts, go to the Lightning tunnel, use the gramophone, and craft the Lightning Staff.
Blue Staff (Ice)
Location: In the bunker near Generator #2.
To craft the Ice Staff, you’ll need to find the following parts:
- Blue Disc: Located on a shelf inside the room by the second generator.
- You will get the remaining three parts by digging through the site while it’s snowing. Use the shovel to dig up the sites on your map while it’s snowing.
Once you have all the parts, head back to the fire chamber and use the teleporter to get the blue crystal.
Repeat returning to the bottom of the excavation site and craft the Ice Staff.
Yellow Staff (Wind)
Location: Around the tunnel near Generator #5.
To craft the Wind Staff, you’ll need to find the following parts:
- Yellow Disc: Located on the field where you find the robots or down in the cave.
- For the second part, go up inside the robot’s foot and move to his head. Grab the part and exit the head.
- In the third part, grab the remaining parts inside the other robots’ feet.
- For the last part, go around the church and up either foot of the robot.
Repeat the process of getting the blue crystal and crafting the wind staff.
Crafting the Staffs
To craft each of the zombies origins staffs, you’ll need to go to the corresponding tunnel, use the gramophone, and then go down to the bottom of the excavation site to craft the staff. You will need a white disc which is on the top by the pack-a-punch or near the excavation site. The gramophone is always located on the lower level of the excavation site under the table.
