Exile is one of the largest multiplayer maps of Halo 4 and is set in a deep canyon where players will be given company by a wreckage of a crashed UNSC.
The map is asymmetrical and focuses on a wide array of game types, especially Capture The Flag. Exile has great focus on vehicular combat with a variety of vehicles present in the map.
While players can play tag on their vehicles on the canyon path surrounding the map, others can go directly to the middle to face off in some close-ranged gameplay.
Exile offers a lot of alternate routes around the canyon for players to go across. The whole map is basically one large ring with plenty of open areas on the outskirts and bridges in the middle extending to both sides.
Power Weapons Sniper Rifle: There are two sniper rifles in the map and both are located inside team team’s initial spawn points.
Rocket Launcher: It is located past the ‘Banshee’, near the central facility’s opening walkway.
Random Drop Weapons
Vehicles Gauss Warthog: There are two of them and are located at the ends of the map on each team’s spawn points.
Banshee: It is located on top of a ridge, a path directly below it leads to the vehicle’s spawn point.
Mongoose: There are two of them located in the map.
Ghost: There are two of them located in the map.
Tips and Strategy
In contrast of previous maps, Exile actually demands players to equip themselves with long-ranged weapons. The map focuses on mobility, and its large scale gives players a great chance to position themselves in a good vantage spot.
Try to grab a vehicle to reach those spots quickly. You can even run them down if you want. The worst thing you can possibly do in this map is stand like an idiot on the open ground.
