Read all of the above but still CTD. i get it after the login even when i skip it. I run win 7 64bit with a GTX275. i manually updated directx and physx and graphics drivers. tried as starting as administrator and unpluging my wheel but no difference. i looked at trying prob 11# but can not find that file anywhere. yes i am set to – no hidden folders. anyone have any idea’s or solutions?

Just buy an i7 it runs the game perfectly even with 2 ATI 4890′s in XFire mode.
Graphics are smick with everything set to Max.

Best arcade racer game I have ever played. Works great with G27 wheel here & definitely no lag. Just turn off steering dead-zone until they bring out the patch.

I also use an original modded Xbox controller with a USB Connection & it kicks but as well ( the analog is better on it than on my XBox 360 controller.

The driver is signed too & is actually for the Tiger Game XBox Controller. Works with Vista or 7 64x or 32 bit.
      It Works a treat.
There is a glitch in the Game steering dead zone so Kill it & get used to driving that way until they bring out the patch & stop you whinging.

Here’s a new one: If I try to race, sometime during the first lap a large black box blocks out a portion of the screen, followed by more, blocking all sight of the game, though I can hear it racing in the background and see the pavement moving in the gaps between the blackouts. This does not happen in the two qualifying races at the start of the game. I am playing on a new Dell XPS17, and have tried playing with and without the cd in the drive. The game is totally unplayable, but looks like it might be fun if I ever get to try it.

this is a “Maybe” low fps fix for Shift 2 only on Nvidia Cards
Uninstall your current video card drivers, then reinstall (whatever version, I use 260.99) but skip the Nview, do not install it
it seems Shift 2 and Nview does not go well together
It should fix the fps issue, and it won’t harm to try it
      Good luck :)

Shift 2 Unleashed PC version freezes at initial loading screen. Downloaded from STEAM. I’ve removed the game and reinstalled twice. I’ve tried catalyst drivers (10.7, 11.2, 11.3 and currently running preview 11.4 drivers), removed and updated nvidia physx, validated the install with steam and I finally had success when I removed my logitech G25 drivers and unplugged the wheel. Once I updated the logitech drivers and plugged the wheel back in; it freezes again. Only way to make the game load is if I do a fresh catalyst driver install and load game without plugging in the logitech wheel. Then once the wheel is plugged in to run the game, if I exit the game and try to restart it, it freezes again. VERY Dissapointed with this. Please help. Thank you.

The game was freezing at loading screens on my Xbox 360 too. I don’t if this is problem with the game itself, anyway I look into and see what I can find.
