Metroid is Nintendo’s most sold franchise with over 16 million copies sold to date. Metroid Other M was just released recently, which immerse players into never before told story of bounty hunter Samus Aran’s past. Now if you are struggling to locate energy and missile tanks, you can refer to this location guide for help.

Metroid:Other M Energy Tanks Location Guide

There are 5 energy tanks to explore in Metroid Other M. They have been mentioned sector wise. Energy Tanks are represented as small spots under your life bar in the top left of the screen.

Energy Tank 1 (Main Sector)
Go to the Morph Ball Form. At the left of the room, go up and you will find your tank. You will have to use the explosive to clear the path and get to the tank.

Energy Tank 2 (Sector 1)
You need to get onto a cart at the location where you fought the second wood villain. Head north and then jump to a high ledge. Now you need to follow the track to reach the tank. You will have your tank where the tracks get split.

Energy Tank 3 (Sector 2)
Go where two Navigation Booths are placed, in the room you will have to use Shinespark to pass through the upper part. Stand on the upper northern platform by the door. Use the platform to get to the tank. You can use the launcher behind the tank to get back to the upper level.

Energy Tank 4 (Sector 2)
It is located in the same sector. You can get this tank in the “Avalanche room”. Go to the left most (west) end of the room. You will find a room with a barrier. No need to smash the barrier, just stand in front of it to get the tank.

Energy Tank 5 (Sector 3)
You can have this tank in Geothermal power plant. You can find this tank at a platform in the center of the room. Again you don’t need to smash anything to get the tank.

Metroid:Other M Missile Tanks Location Guide
These tanks can be useful as they increase your missile quantity by 1. I am writing their location sector wise again.

Missile Tank 1 (Main Sector)
You need to search for a hole on the floor in the hall. Enter the hall and follow the Morph ball and you will ultimately reach the tank.

Missile Tank 2(Main Sector)
In the bridge room, under the bridge, you can use the blocks to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 3 (Main Sector)
After you have turned on the power in the elevator room, jump to the platform below to the west of the room. Move through the pathway to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 4 (Main Sector)
In the hall, to the south of the main elevator, enter the room with Zebbo’s hive. Destroy the hive on the ceiling and then use the shaft to reach to the tank.

Missile Tank 5 (Main Sector)
On the right of the location of your ship, in the second room, search for the corridor with stairs. Climb up the stairs and then jump to the platforms to the south and bomb a grate on the southern platform. Enter the hole for the tank.

Missile Tank 6 (Main Sector)
If your memory is strong enough then you would remember that at the beginning of the game, you were knocked off by a Zebbo near a room. You can have the tank in that room. It is the fourth room east of your ship.

Missile Tank 7 (Main Sector)
Head Northeast of the docked ship to find a room with a bathroom and stairs to its left walls. Climb up the stairs and then use the Morph ball hole to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 8 (Main Sector)
Head toward the same direction from the ship and this time look for the first “Kick climb area”. This tank is above this area. It can be tricky to reach and you will have to use Shinespark and the broken elevator to get to it.

Missile Tank 9 (Main Sector)
After defeating the monstrous Octopus, you will get to an elevator. It will break down (Halt) and then you will have to break its glass and reach the ground. You can use the Melt bomb to do that. Then use the left side of Morph ball tube to reach the tank.

Missile Tank 1 (Sector 1)
It is in the room having a glass auricle on its left side. Look for the vent upwards. You can have the tank through this vent.

Missile Tank 2 (Sector 1)
After you have turned off the Hologram, head back to the ship and now you will be able to see more of the ship. Climb these parts to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 3 (Sector 1)
To the North of waterfall room, you will see a portal with Zoomers. Destroy them and then get the tank in the hole.

Missile Tank 4 (Sector 1)
Use the elevator you used on the Chameleon to locate a hole on the top left position above you. Enter into it to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 5 (Sector 1)
Head south to tubes from observatory decks and roll down form the hill at max speed. You need to be careful to skip pass the hole that leads you downwards. If you fall for that hole, use bombs to get back up and then get back to the tank.

Missile Tank 6 (Sector 1)
Near the Morph ball tube, you need to blow up the garbage to expose to a tunnel in the corner. Enter the tunnel to reach the location of the tank.

Missile Tank 7 (Sector)
On the floor of biological experiment area, you will find a platform below the ramp. Reach there to have the tank.

Missile Tank 8 (Sector 1)
Retract the bridge in the room located to the south of the (north east) elevator room. Now below the bridge you need to choose the right tunnel that is the yellow one to the south not the west one. Enter the tunnel and move through it to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 9 (Sector 1)
In the eastern water filled corridor, destroy that structure on the northern wall and get to the tank through it.

Missile Tank 10 (Sector 1)
You need to locate a room with 2 water pools and many controls. In the west corner of the room, head to the tube to have the tank.

Missile Tank 11 (Sector 1)
Near the elevator platform in the room, you need to look at the ceiling with your first person view, you will find a box. Shoot the box to get the tank inside it.

Missile Tank 12 (Sector 1)
In the center of Overgrown room, you need to climb up the ramp to activate your speed booster and then use the Shinespark and land on the platform having the tank.

Missile Tank 13 (Sector 1)
North to the overgrown room having spiral is a hallway with two grapple places on the ceiling. Use them to get to the raised platform. Below this area is a hole which will lead you to the tank.

Missile Tank 14 (Sector 1)
Where you fought with the chameleon, look for the whole where it emerged. Stand in front of that hole and it will turn green. Use your grapple gun to reach the tank.

Missile Tank 15 (Sector 1)
There is a room(through a ramp) which leads to the place where you fought with Arachnus, look for a hatch on the ceiling as you slide down the ramp. Use your Speed Booster to run back up the ramp to clear out all the vines.
Now when you slide back down, keep aiming for the hatch. Try locking the target and burst it up in one shot. That won’t be easy obviously and you probably will have to try many times. Once you destroy the hatch, use the grapple point revealed to get to the tank.

Missile Tank 16 (Sector 1)
To the North of waterfall room is a room having abundant holographic activity. Turn off the holographic overlay and destroy the panel on the wall to have the tank.

Missile Tank 17 (Sector 1)
