In the Nintendo Switch remaster version of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, there are a total of 32 Heart Pieces that players can find to increase their overall health. This can be pretty useful in tough fights so make sure to search for as many pieces as you can.
Zelda: Link’s Awakening Heart Pieces Locations
Since the game just came out, this guide is still under development so keep checking back for more locations of Heart Pieces.
Heart Piece #1
You need to return to Mabe Village after acquiring the sword. Now you need to go to the north of the library and you will see a well at the end of the cliff.
You can use your sword to clean up the bushes and go to the well. Get off the ledge into the well and there you will find the Heart Piece.
Heart Piece #2
Go to the fishing pond from madam MeowMeow’s house in the Mabe village and try out fishing yourself for 10 Rupees.
If you catch a fish you will be awarded a prize. But you need to catch the fish right below where you are, in the cave. Catching that fish will give you Heart Piece.
Heart Piece #3
Right outside the Mysterious Forest, you need to use Roc’s Feather to jump over the circles and that will simply give you a Heart Piece.
Heart Piece #4
In the Mysterious Woods, you need to return to the where you first acquired the Toadstool, after obtaining the Power Bracelet. Just by doing that you will get a Piece of Heart.
Heart piece 5
In Ukuku Prairie, when you have acquired Bombs and Pegasus Boots.
When you go to the area near pits you will see a few pincers hiding and there on the upper side you will notice a weak wall with some cracks in it, you need to use those acquired bombs here.
Now you will have to run through the cave ahead with those Pegasus Boots and on the eastern side there will be another cracked wall, bombing it will show you the Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #6
Now in the Yarna Desert, you will get the piece but will have to either sink yourself in the sinking sand or then fight Lanmola.
Alternatively, you can go to the northern side and bomb a weak wall, then again bomb another wall on the north and both these ways you will get your Heart Piece.
Heart Piece #7
For the next piece, you need to go to the cemetery. There are a total of four graves here and you need to go the one which is at the bottom right. When you push it, it will show you a cave.
Now you just need to jump diagonally from the area where you walk out of stairs to the area where the Piece of Heart is, and exit the same way.
Heart Piece #8
First, you need to obtain the Flippers and then go to Tal Tal Heights. Here you will need to go to three screens east of Level 4. There will be a cave, you need flippers to swim in the deep waters.
When you get to the cave, just a few strokes of flippers and you will see the Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #9
Go to the Kanalet Castle and you will see some stairs at the outer edge of the castle landing into the waters. You need to get in water and use flippers to go 3 screens left and 4 screens down. Here you will see a pit and a stairwell.
Swim along the edge to the hill where the pit is. Dive down in front of the second pit and you will find the Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #10
Right after you enter the Animal village just go to the south and use the sword to clear the bushes. You will go to the Yarna Desert here when you reach the area where Walrus was lying early in the game go to the north and bomb the weak wall.
Go inside, go one room left and then one room up. You will see a pit and a cracked rock. Now go back and bomb the north wall. You will be on the other side of that fence and in the room with Piece of Heart.
Now throw a bomb to blow up the cracked rock and go back and use hook shot to grab to the solid rock and pull yourself through the pit. And you will be able to retrieve the Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #11
Scale Tal Tal Heights and you will find a staircase and here you will need flippers to swim. Go to the same path until you find a house, after the house use hook shot to get yourself across the broken bridge.
Now you will see a single bush, just cut it down and you will see yourself in a case, just bomb the southern indented wall and you will find yourself in a room with Piece of Heart.

This last piece will be in the last dungeon of the game: Turtle Rock. You will see this on the upper left side of the map.
You simply need to climb the staircase to go outside the dungeon and you will reach a section of Tal Tal mountain range and will find a Piece of Heart.

You can also go to Mabe Village shop and buy one Heart Piece for 200 Rupees.
Heart Piece #14
Now as you are in Mabe Village, you should also visit the crane game where you can get one piece of the heart the first time you play and if you keep playing, you will get one Piece of Heart with each win.
Heart Piece #15
You will find another one in the Tabahl Wasteland, when you go south of the Dampe’s Shack you will see a gap in the ground. Just hop over that gap and you will find another Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #16
Go right from the path of Tamaranch Mountain and you will have to climb a ladder. Then move a few boulders and keep going, you will find a Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #17
When you go to the west of Martha’s bay you will see an area called Pothole field. There is just one house in that area and Richard lives there.
If you claim all five Golden Leaves for Richard, you will be able to access the field. There you will get another Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #18
Now if you go south of that same pothole field, you just need to use your Pegasus Boots to jump some of the holes in the field and you will land another Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #19
This time, go to the south of Martha’s Bay and you will go below the statue of mermaid. There you will see a few gaps in the ground. You need to cross those and go downstairs into the cave on the other side, there you will get another Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #20
As you know the Tal Tal Heights, you just need to go east of that and engage in raft racing for 100 Rupees. Now instead of going straight to the race, choose the mode where you collect items.
Now just stay at the very west of the water area and you will get to the island that has a Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #21
Now as you remember you’ve been to the fish pond before, you can get another heart piece from the fish pond by catching a bigger fish.
Heart Piece #22
In Tal Tal mountains, you need to walk along the walkway and then to the downstairs. You will go through the bushes to the outside. Just follow the path as far as you can and you will find a piece of heart.
Heart Piece #23
After exiting the rafting game, you need to go left and enter the cave there. Just hookshot your way up and you will see the heart piece at the left corner.
Heart Piece #24
You need to take your raft to the furthest entrance of the mini-game during the rafting mini-game. Hookshot your way up the island and you will get the piece of heart.
Heart Piece #25
In the mysterious woods, you need to enter the log that is surrounded by three rocks and just hookshot your way over the rocks and to the chest.
Heart Piece #26
Just bring five secret seashells to the secret seashell hut and then just stand on the pedestal. You will be awarded a piece of heart.
Heart Piece #27
In the Mabe village just above the library, you need to go slash the bushed and jump inside. And then get the stairs to the outside.
Heart Piece #28
Remember that crane game, you will get another heart piece from there if you win a game.
Heart Piece #29
You need to complete the fourth challenge named as ‘Fill up your Hearts’ and you will be awarded a heart piece.
Heart Piece #30
If you keep going through Dampe’s challenges, eventually he will give you a whole heart box, containing four heart pieces.
Heart Piece #31
You need to take the ladder to Tal Tal mountain and from there just lift one of the three stones and it will lead you to a cave. In the cave, you just need to push the rocks until you can reach the heart piece.

Now the last heart piece, you will get from rafting mini-game again. If you are fats enough during the rafting game, the raft guy will give you a heart piece as well
