Bombs are used in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening but not exactly to do any damage to the enemies, though they can be used in that manner. These bombs are more so used in order to crack walls or to break objects. In order to get more of these bombs, there are a few ways that you can collect them.
Zelda: Link’s Awakening Bombs
The first and easiest way to collect these bombs is to just buy them from the Town Tool Shop.
You can get a package where you get ten bombs for just 10 Rupees and honestly, compared to the 980 Rupees bow and arrow they are selling, the price of bombs is nothing.

Other than this, you will be facing enemies quite frequently in the dungeons and the fields. When you defeat the enemies and finish them off, they will be dropping some bombs and you can pick them up for later use.
Carrying Bombs
Now you know how to get more bombs but you can’t them all at one time so in order to expand your inventory to carry more bombs at one time, you need to do a little work.
You need to wait to expand the inventory until you have the Flippers from Angler’s Tunnel which will open the water areas for you which will make your transportation easier.
As soon as this happens you need to go and find your way to Mad Batter. Start heading from Animal Village to the nearest water area, past the rows of trees. You need to swim southwest, past the Catfish Maw.
You will be coming around some stairs that you have to take in order to reach the Telephone Booth. Go west of the Telephone Booth, into the woods, and stand on the sigil, once you see it, to activate the Martha’s Bay warp pad.
After this, just return to the Telephone Booth and go east now. You will be blocked by some holes which are in your way to the stairs.
You will use the Roc’s Feather and the Pegasus Boots which will help you to pass the gaps. If bushes come in your way then clear them with your sword. Now go and take the stairs.
Go northwest in the tunnel, dodging the piranhas. Keep going until you see the stairs at the other end. Take them and move through the grass and again you will be coming across some stairs. Take them and you will be going into a room.
Now use the Magic Powder on the brazier and Mad Batter will be coming your way. He will curse you to carry more junk which means that you will be able to carry more bombs now. Congratulations!
