Yakuza 0 Daisaku Kuze Boss
At the end of chapter 1, you will face your first boss Daisaku Kuze. He comes with a couple of health bars and gets much tougher after you drain the first one. We recommend using Rush Style while facing Kuze in Yakuza 0.
Kuze will dodge and evade your attacks so it is best to use Rush to overwhelm. During the first bar use the Square and Triangle chain attacks together against Kuze.
Kuze will try to dodge your attacks, however, a rush attack combo ending in a strong attack will get him even if he dodges. This mean you need to keep the barrage going on no matter what.
Depending on your rush attack power these attacks can knock Kuze back or on the floor. If you manage to knock him on the floor, go to him and kick him. You can also perform a power attack.
Which kick you perform depends on your Rush Power. If you even have one bar [the ink bar in the corner] means you will land a strong stomp attack dealing heavy damage, otherwise just a simple kick.
Normal kick can be performed twice before Kuze is able to get up. However, one power attack can still deal more damage.
Use the combo once again in an attempt to knock him down. Keep repeating the process until the bar runs out.
Before the bar runs out, you will enter a quick time event before the second bar comes up. The QTE will begin when the first health bar is around 10%. the QTE will strat without any warning so be prepared.
You will beat Kuze in the quick time event which will make him twice as angry as he was during the first bar.
In phase two, Kuze will dodge and evade your attacks. You need to wait for Kuze to attack, dash to avoid his attack and counter from the side.
Whenever Kuze comes close to throw any attack, dodge to any side or back and counter attack. This is the safest and most effective method to deal with Kuze in his second phase.
The most efficient strategy to try is to push Kuze in a corner and lock him in. He will not be able to dodge any of your attacks and you can just keep going on him just as in the first phase. Otherwise, Wait, dash, counter, and repeat.
If your health gets low, use a healing item and continue the fight. As long as you use the dash to avoid Kuze’s attacks, you shouldn’t have much trouble bringing him down and completing the chapter.
