Microsoft seems to be getting back in the game after Sony’s PlayStation 4 outperformed them since the beginning of this generation. Now a new report has made its way to the internet that suggests Xbox One outperformed PlayStation 4 during the Black Friday sale in the United States.
According to a report from Adobe, top five best-selling electronics products during the Black Friday sales were iPads, Samsung 4K TVs, MacBook Air, LG TVs, and Xbox consoles. The report did not mention where the PlayStation 4 ranked but it was not in the top 5.
It is important to mention that the report was for online sales only.
Recently, Xbox marketing executive Mike Nichols revealed that that the demand for Xbox hardware, accessories, and games was very “Strong” and Xbox Live engagement during this period was also strong.
However, Microsoft did not share any specific details about the unit sales for Xbox console or hardware sales and also nothing concrete was revealed about the XBL performance.
The report also suggests that the overall Black Friday Sales brought a total of $5.27 billion, which is up 17.7 percent year-over-year. $1.93 billion out of $5.27 billion was spent on Thanksgiving Day.
According to the report, during the entire season PlayStation 4 remained best selling console with Xbox One coming in second.
In terms of games Pokemon Sun And Moon was the best-selling game during the season. Also, the game is Nintendo biggest launch in the UK. Call Of Duty came in second but it was not revealed which game in the series.
Adobe notes that the report is based on aggregated and anonymous data from 22.6 billion visits to retail sites. Adobe claims to have measured 80 percent of the online transactions from 100 leading retailers in the US.
